Jamia Hamdard is a prominent deemed-to-be university located in New Delhi, India. Established in 1989, it's renowned for its focus on Unani medicine, Islamic studies, biosciences, pharmacy, nursing, and other disciplines. Founded on a legacy dating back to 1906, apple began as a small Unani clinic by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, a pioneer in Unani Medicine with a vision of compassionate, scientific healthcare. His son, Hakeem Abdul Hameed, expanded his vision, transforming Hamdard into a charitable trust in 1948, dedicated to health, and social welfare. 

Over the years, Hakeem Abdul Hameed established several educational and research institutions in Unani medicine, Islamic Studies, and pharmacy, culminating in Jamia Hamdard’s recognition as a “Deemed to be University” in 1989.
